Productivity V Laziness

V

A common cliché tends to say that the Internet promotes laziness: indeed, this tool easily turn your attention to something else that what you were supposed to do. All the notifications (TweetDeck, Facebook, Google Notifier...), all the games, all the websites represent a huge amount of things that distract attention. If you're lazy, you're easily gonna pay more attention to things that don't realy matter for you (for the moment at least) than for the real thing you were supposed to do: writing a post, working...doing some boring stuff actually!

But do take note that every use of the Internet is productive, and for that reason, Internet promotes productivity: each time you use it, you work on your e-reputation, you write, you comment, you post...you build a true e-yourself on the web...even if at the begining you were attracted towards that by pure laziness.

Moreover, on the Internet, everything is done to encourage your productivity: if you don't post on your blog frequently, no one is gonna read it. There is also this example of a young French guitarist called Mattrach who began to post videos of himself playing. Internautes loved it and asked him to continue, now he is a professional artist.
